    Keeping Up With the Times – A Program for HR Professionals & Managers

    The laws, technology and the workforce keep changing.  HR professionals are challenged to keep up.  Supervisors can be very confused and unprepared to address new issues under new regulations.  This program creates the opportunity for HR professionals and supervisors to learn, communicate and establish a joint understanding of new developments and how to work together to address issues in the workplace!

    There are brand new ADA regulations and there are recent FMLA changes.  These combine with Worker's Compensation to create a tangled web.  Learn about the new developments and how to navigate the complexities and solve problems without liability.

    • Drug and alcohol testing can also create ADA, FMLA, UC and privacy issues.
    • Technology is creating multiple complications - learn about the liabilities of the electronic workplace.
    • Off the job but still on the hook?  Understand the increasing liability of employers for what you thought was off-the-job activity.

    This program presents a series of “real life” discussion examples illustrating the broad scope of workplace issues.  Participants learn to analyze work situations and develop an understanding of how to identify and resolve problems.  Bob Gregg presents practical advice and understandable standards and practices for often difficult situations. 

    About the Presenter:Bob Gregg, a partner at the Boardman Law Firm in Madison, Wisconsin, has been representing employers for over 30 years in a wide variety of litigation, including EEOC discrimination claims, wage and hour suits, FMLA, NLRA, equal pay, contract and Unemployment Compensation cases.  He has designed the employment handbooks and effective workplace policies for numerous private and public employers.  Bob has conducted over 2,000 supervisory training programs throughout the United States.

    This program has been approved for 3.5 general recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute. The use of this seal is not an endorsement by the HR Certification Institute of the quality of the program.
