    WI SHRM State Conference Recap/Hot Topics in Employment Law

    Join us for a brief review of the Wisconsin SHRM State Conference held from October 12-14, 2011 at Monona Terrace in Madison, WI. 

    Following the recap will be JCHRMA’s annual legal overview – a review of the most significant employment law issues of this year, and a forecast of the trends and hot topics to expect in 2012.

    Topics will include:

    • Recent Laws: Conceal carry – what to do or not to do; Act. 10
    • Supreme Court: Top rulings of 2011
    • Significant Recent Cases: FMLA, regulation of employee social networking, discrimination, employment contracts, privacy, personal liability and the most unusual cases of the year
    • Coming Attractions and Trends: A "heads up" on emerging employment law issues

    About the Presenter:

    Bob Gregg, a partner at the Boardman Law Firm in Madison, Wisconsin, has been representing employers for over 30 years in a wide variety of litigation, including EEOC discrimination claims, wage and hour suits, FMLA, NLRA, equal pay, contract and Unemployment Compensation cases. He has designed the employment handbooks and effective workplace policies for numerous private and public employers. Bob has conducted over 2,000 supervisory training programs throughout the United States. He is a member of the National Speakers Association, SHRM, and a national faculty member of the American Association for Affirmative Action Certification Institute.
