We start out with WI SHRM's 25th Anniversary State Conference on October 12th - 14th in Madison, WI! What an event this state conference will be!
10/13/11 - HR Professionals Day - The State of WI Office of Governor Scott Walker has issued a proclamation declaring Thursday, October 13th as Human Resources Professionals Day! (Click here for Press Release)

Volunteers needed at State Conference
WI SHRM is hosting the 25th Anniversary State Conference in Madison this year, October 12th – 14th and they need your help!
If you’re attending this year’s conference, please consider taking scheduling some time to volunteer. Volunteering is a great way to meet other HR professionals throughout the state.

Certification Update
Hello,
This comes to you from Beth Baldowin, the Certification Chair for Jefferson County Human Resource Management Association (JCHRMA).
If you plan to take a certification exam (PHR, SPHR or GPHR) this coming winter, now is the time to start thinking about submitting your application!
For a chapter member, JCHRMA pays the test sitting fee one time (provided the chapter member’s employer will not fund the expense).To prepare for the exam, consider these alternatives:

Diversity Update
The WI SHRM Council recognizes organizations / companies that foster diversity in the workplace with the Workplace Diversity Award. This award will be presented at the WI State SHRM Conference in October.
Please review the link below for more information. It would be great to see one of JCHRMA’s organizations / companies recognized at the conference this year. The deadline is August 1st, and you can download the nomination form on the website.
