    Topic: Enhancing HR's Credibility: Becoming a Strategic Partner

    Credibility and competence are critical to relationship building and being viewed as a strategic partner. Learn how HR professionals can take steps to partner with key organizational leaders to help deliver business performance results. Primary areas of focus within the program include assessing talent within the HR function, developing the HR business partner, and linking HR with the business strategy.
    In the Meeting We Will: Review how to evaluate the skills and talent within your HR function Develop a personal plan for ensuring you are viewed as credible and competent Plan for consulting and partnering with internal clients to identify actions and solutions to meet business needs

    About the Presenter: Julie K. Norland, SPHR, serves as a business partner and collaborator to help her customers increase organization effectiveness. As a professional with more than 18 years of progressive human resource experience, Julie has worked in distribution, manufacturing, service, and healthcare environments. Her broad background includes great experiences in talent acquisition and retention, employee
    relations, training and development, employment law and regulations, performance management, policy development, and compensation and benefits administration. Julie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from St. Norbert College, a Master’s degree in Organizational Communication from Northern Illinois University, and Certifications as a DDI instructor and
    Six Sigma Green Belt.

    This program has been submitted for approval for credit hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through HRCI.
