Topic: Worker's Compensation and Light Duty:  Getting Employees Back to Work
In most states, when a worker who has filed for workers compensation benefits is able to return to light duty, the employer must return the worker to the job he or she left or an equivalent job, provided that such a position is available.  Sounds simple but in reality, it's not so easy.  Join us to find out what companies are doing to get employees back to work.

About the Presenter: Dan Held is the Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist in the Waukesha office of M3 Insurance.  He leads the agency's efforts to manage clients' Workers' Compensation claims.  In this role, Dan develops M3's claims processing procedures, and directs and supports claims management activities.
Dan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.  He has been working in the insurance industry for more than 15 years.  He started his career with Liberty Mutual Insurance as a multi-line claims adjuster.  He then moved on to work in risk management for Waukesha County, managing Workers' Compensation and safety programs.  Most recently, Dan was Claim Supervisor for AmComp.  He joined M3 in 2009 and is a licensed agent in Wisconsin for property and casualty insurance.

This program has been submitted for approval for credit hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through HRCI.
