Topic: But I’m Not Comfortable with Conflict: Learning to Talk Your Way Through It
Speaker: Matt Steinkamp, Midwest EAP Solutions, a division of Workplace Behavioral Solutions This session will explore the "whys" and "hows" of conflict avoidance and more effective ways of conflict resolution. Various styles of dealing with conflict will be explored in an effort to assist individuals in understanding how their approach impacts their work and personal relationships. Throughout the session, participants will be challenged to assess the effectiveness of their style and consider other approaches to conflict resolution. Participants will be asked to review potential conflict scenarios and engage in discussion.
This program has been submitted for approval for 1.0 general recertification credit hour toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute.
